Reviewers at TheJODTi ensure the scientific rigor, clinical relevance, and ethical integrity of all published content through objective, constructive, and timely evaluations.

Reviewer Responsibilities

  • Assessing Suitability
    Determine whether manuscripts fit TheJODTi’s scope—diagnostic imaging, theranostics, molecular imaging—and meet standards for originality, methodology, and ethical conduct.
  • Providing Constructive Feedback
    Offer clear, evidence-based comments focused on improving the work; reference relevant literature when suggesting changes .
  • Declaring Conflicts of Interest
    Disclose any financial, professional, or personal relationships that might bias your review before accepting an assignment.

Ethical Standards

  • Confidentiality
    Treat all manuscript content and review discussions as strictly confidential; do not share materials or comments outside the formal review interface.
  • Reporting Misconduct
    Alert the Editor to suspected ethical issues—plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication—without conducting independent investigations.
  • Professional Tone
    Frame critiques respectfully, focusing on the work rather than the authors to maintain a collegial review environment.

Peer‐Review Process Steps

  1. Invitation Response
    Promptly accept or decline review invitations to facilitate Editor planning.
  2. Initial Assessment
    Verify alignment with TheJODTi’s aims and compliance with basic submission guidelines.
  3. In‐Depth Evaluation
    Critically examine each manuscript section—Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, References—commenting on clarity, statistical validity, and interpretation.
  4. Confidential Comments
    Provide a separate confidential report to the Editor detailing any sensitive concerns or overarching suitability judgments.
  5. Recommendation
    Recommend one of: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject, supporting your decision with explicit manuscript references.

Timelines

  • First Decision
    Editors aim to reply with an initial decision within 3 days of submission.
  • Review Completion
    Reviewers should submit full evaluations within 15 days of accepting invitations.
  • Online Publication
    Accepted articles are published online (with DOI) within 30 days after final proof corrections.

Reporting to the Editor

  • Summary Overview
    Begin with a concise appraisal of the manuscript’s strengths and weaknesses.
