A Message for Our Second Issue: Embracing a Broad Spectrum
The Journal of Diagnostic and Theranostic Imaging (TheJODTI)
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
It is with great enthusiasm that I welcome you to the second issue of The Journal of Diagnostic and Theranostic Imaging (The JODTi), where “In Every Frame, We Transform The Care.” Following our successful launch, this issue continues our mission to provide a trusted, rapid, and open-access platform for groundbreaking research in diagnostic imaging and theranostics.
Our second issue truly reflects the journal’s broad scope, bringing together insights from nuclear medicine, radiology, and surgical specialties. We open with a vital ‘Letter to the Editor’ from Bıçakcı and Batı on the critical role of multimodality imaging in cardiac ATTR amyloidosis, spanning from SPECT to hybrid PET/CMR. This is followed by an important ‘Original Research’ article by Gbadamassi et al., which investigates the predictive value of [18F]FDG PET/CT metabolic parameters in predicting metastasis in triple-negative breast cancer.
The issue is further strengthened by a diverse collection of ‘Case Reports’ that highlight rare findings and complex diagnostic challenges:
- Alzoubi demonstrates the clinical importance of delayed FDG PET/CT imaging for enhancing the detection of brain metastases in lung cancer.
- Arca et al. present an uncommon but important finding: an occipital spur identified on Tc-99m PYP scintigraphy during a cardiac amyloidosis workup.
- Ay et al. discuss a multidisciplinary surgical approach for repairing a frontal sinus defect in a patient who developed a brain abscess.
- Öztürk reports on a rare case of gluteal muscle metastasis from squamous cell lung carcinoma, a significant diagnostic challenge.
This collection perfectly embodies our journal’s focus on practical, cutting-edge, and multidisciplinary clinical knowledge.
Our Mission
Our mission remains simple yet profound: to provide a trusted space where groundbreaking research, clinical advancements, and educational resources converge to inspire and inform the global scientific community. We uphold the highest standards of quality, transparency, and accessibility, ensuring that every contribution makes a real-world impact.
What Sets Us Apart
- Unmatched Speed & Impact: We aim to redefine rapid communication in our field. Authors receive a first decision in an average of 3 days, complete peer review in 15 days, and online publication within 30 days of acceptance.
- Open Access & Global Reach: We believe in the free exchange of knowledge. All our content is immediately and freely available to researchers and practitioners worldwide.
- Rigorous Peer Review: Our streamlined editorial process guarantees scientific integrity while maintaining remarkable turnaround times.
- Ethical & Inclusive Culture: We embrace gender-neutral language, strict ethical standards, and a collaborative spirit that values diverse perspectives.
Core Areas of Interest
We welcome submissions across a broad spectrum, including but not limited to:
- PET/CT, SPECT/CT, PET/MRI, and novel radiopharmaceuticals (e.g., Lu-177, I-131)
- Artificial intelligence and machine learning applications in imaging
- CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and hybrid operating-room technologies
- Dosimetry, radionuclide therapy, and image-guided interventional systems
I encourage you to explore the excellent articles in this second issue and consider The JODTi as the home for your valuable research. Together, let us continue to shape the future of diagnostic and theranostic imaging with both excellence and unprecedented speed.
Warm regards,
